I wonder who just opened the door?:)
What an interesting door!To answer your question, yes, "warna" means "colour" in Malay language. It's actually a loanword from Sanskrit, "varna".Other Sanskrit loanwords in Malay include "bahasa (language)", "manusia (human), "bahaya (danger)".Do you have the same words in Malayalam?
Thanks for your comments! @Ola - A few seconds before I took this photo, a man opened the door and went in. @LondonCalling - Thank you so much for clarifying this. Yes, we have the very same words in Malayalam, only spelt a little differently. Bahasa is Bhaasha. Manusia is Manushya and Bahaya is Bhaya. Isnt it amazing! @May - Thank you. Come on in!
Hello!! :)) And thank you so much for your comment! :)What a nice door! and the wall! :)And wow- the beautiful sun behind the dramatic clouds below..!! =)Have a nice day! :)
Old, intriguing, and quite attractive...I like how the door shows weathering and how it's set in that beautiful stone and the two plantings on either side. There's an elegance here...I would guess it's the home of someone of wealth...
Amazing colors , just loved the pic .
Wonderful doors :-)
Oh wow this is an experience. Good shot
That is a great looking door and doorway. Super shot, I love the look of the picture!
I really like this door -- it's very interesting.
Great to have you back. Were you in Italy? Italy is a photographer's paradise.By the way your photo conveys a sense of mystery, what is behind the door? I wonder.A normal family I guess or am I seeing too many suspense films? No just joking.
nice to see ur post after a while. welcome back :) and dont stand at the door!
Absolutely beautiful - so rustic and inviting. Love the slightly open door.Thank you for your very kind comment on my blog yesterday, it warmed my heart.;)xoxo
The semi opened door hides more than what it reveals. Nice to see you back. Hope you had a fabulous holiday.www.rajniranjandas.blogspot.com
Excellent composition. I love the texture and beautiful tones. Very nice.
Hi Ash, How are you? I am fine. I quite like the pastel shades in this picture. I wonder how thick the walls are, a very interesting house I must say. I am curious to know how the house looks as a whole with the path leading to the door. I wanted to start a photo and video blog for quite some time but did not have the time but this month I managed to launch it, so far with just one post. In March we went on a holiday to Delhi, Haridwar, Rishikesh, Dehradun and Mussourie; I clicked a number of pictures of the Ganga and my first post is called Ganga Darshan. Please have a look.
What an elegant doorway. A fine composition with excellent color and detail.
a single door and yet so much character and so many stories to tell.
